St. Patty’s day will soon be here, and that means it’s time for the luck of the Irish, and who doesn’t need a little extra luck on their side. Here is a great project for creating your very own lucky charm.
Supplies
Green Polymer clay
Paper clip
Pencil
Directions
This fun craft will require a parents help. First, roll three separate one inch balls out of the clay. Then, mold each ball into a heart shape forming a leaflet. Smooth out each hearts pointed ends and stick them together to form a kind of circle. The next step is to unwind a paper clip, and place one end at the joined points while leaving the other end sticking out like a stem. Use a small piece of clay over the paper clip end to secure it to your leaflets. Now you can turn your lucky charm over, and create a crease in the center of each leaflet using a pencil.
Now it’s time to bake your key chain. Parents need to bake the clay as per the manufactures directions. After your lucky charm has cooled, use the stem end to wrap around a split key ring.
There you have it, your very own lucky charm. This is a great project for giving a little luck of the Irish to someone you love.
