The Lego Advent calendar is a BIG HIT for any kid under 11...my children love it and it's always a favorite when we give it away for the holidays. This was a gift for my six year old son last Christmas, and he loved it! He couldn't wait to see what was under each door, it was the first thing he did every morning. The pieces do not all combine to make a large set, but that didn't bother him at all- it's a great way to add on to your minifigure collection as well, those were a favorite.
