A toaster that actually toasts, amazing!

After much frustration with inexpensive models (the plastic melted around the edges) and sophisticated units that got jammed all the time I finally bought a good one. KitchenAid are known for quality, and this toaster not only feels solid it just plain works. It doesn't hurt that it looks nice too.
A toaster close enough to perfect for me

Reviewer: Cyclist,
I am so pleased with this toaster! It is sturdy and simple and works as designed. The slots accommodate all the breads I buy and adjust to hold the bread securely. I enjoy the easy-to-use 'warm' and 'bagel' buttons, and the removable crumb tray. I like the feel of the 'lift lever.'

Most of the time when I use an appliance, I don't pay it any mind, but I *notice* this toaster -- for good reasons. It's a product that hits the mark. I read many of the reviews before buying it, and I want to thank you all for giving excellent advice.
Just what we needed

We needed to replace our toaster and this one works just fine. I researched a number of them. It has a higher wattage than our older one so that it toasts somewhat faster. As mentioned in other reviews, the slots could be a little longer but it works fine for regular toast and bagels. Nice clean design.
solid buy

Reviewer: A. Cohen,
This toaster is sturdy, and as the other reviewers say, it makes great toast. Surprisingly it does a good job of keeping the outer shell cool. The price you pay for that is that it has a big footprint on your counter top. Might not be suitable in small kitchens.
great toaster

Reviewer: Michelle Houser,
I searched for quite some time for a practical, good quality toaster. I found it in this toaster. It is small enough that it will sit on the kitchen counter, however, the slots are big enough to do bagels and waffles. It toasts evenly and it is sturdy. The price was right too.
